Are you really learning HOW to fish?
Read? Are you really learning HOW to fish?
People take course you take course.
Some become their own shepherds and now take wool from others.
You?
Still giving wool...
Who has got "it" and who still clueless?
After more than decade of reading investment and finance blogs of "people take course you take course".
Basically, there are two types of course available for you.
One, fishing course. They teach how to do active fishing.
But; fishing is never easy!.
If you can't do well in fishing; what will you do next?
You can go and take crabbing course. Crabbing is passive. Not much action is needed. You throw down your crab traps into sea and waiting patiently for quarterly or semi-annual crab's roe.

CW,
ReplyDeleteThere is a 3rd way used by landowners since biblical times - they hired shepherds to look after their flock ;)
That one also need to attend course. Right?
DeleteCW,
DeleteTo me, there's 3 options:
1) DIY - for those who like to fish!
2) The "no brains needed" passive approach - your crabbing analogy.
3) Then there's the outsourcing - the landowner way. (But need to be a good judge of people)
To me, there's no such thing as taking a "course" on how to be a landowner (entrepreneurship). Mentoring/coaching yes. But definitely not something we can take exam and we will automatically be "entrepreneurs.
Same for financial literacy - its not something to study and take exams, score distinctions, and we will be successful investors/traders ;)
If it were so, then all those with MBAs and CFAs would be financially free! No?
Yalor. Like my Finance Mgr who doesn't invest. She said she is finance mgr and NOT investment mgr. LOL!
