I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

One Uncommon Act Of Kindness! (2)

Read? One Uncommon Act Of Kindness!

Nowadays; Uncle8888 has been riding on MRT trains here and there with his monthly $60 concession pass and at the same time he looked out for opportunity to pay back this uncommon act of kindness of this young man to others.

When Uncle8888 noticed someone especially when the elderly seen to look lost; he will approach them to see whether they need any help.

Dementia is scary!

When Uncle8888 was approaching the MRT gates; from a distance he saw one elderly man kept tapping his card on the MRT entrance and the gate sounded an alarm and didn't open. But; he kept tapping and tapping his card.

Uncle8888 approached him and told him that he needed to go to the control room to reset his card and walked him to MRT control room to do it.

  1. CW,

You good man and jolly goodfella!

Let's pass the love around :)

    Don't be shy!

    礼多人不怪 :)

  2. Hmmm that's the thing I missed about living & working at small town in UK about 20 yrs ago. These type of actions & behaviours are the norm then. You greet each other (strangers) at bus-stops, chit-chat with strangers while waiting in supermarket lines, engage in impromptu discussions & helping each other when situations arise e.g. flat tyre or car stuck in ditch, dropping by your neighbours for drinks/meals/BBQs, etc. Used to have an elderly (70+) neighbour who actually served in S'pore & Malaya during the 1950s for his NS --- quite a character and he was the informal grassroots leader of our neighbourhood there. His wife (also 70+) used to sunbathe in her bra & shorts in the backyard during summer, which I could see from our 2nd floor bedroom --- I "complained" about it to him but he just asked me & wifey to come over for beers!

    1. May be we are living in pigeon holes for too long. :-(
