ReplyDeleteInteresting someone with long term goals and planning and someone floating around like a leaf in the wind have arrived in a similar spot ;)
Possible when both realize it not too late!
ReplyDeleteAgree. I intend to go naked when my term insurance ROD at 65. But I will still continue w a IP-Medishield Life with a rider for class 1. I don't need term insurance as my children will stand on their feet. I will also have a golden goose.
ReplyDeleteSiew Mun,
DeleteIn the old days, families with golden geese will marry them off with each other to produce more little golden goslings ;)
I only have a silver goose, but for HDB lifestyle, it's comfortable enough!
Once we have a fully paid home and be debt free, we should be financially secure even with bronze goose or duck.
DeleteSMOL Would be a great that children are able to choose spouses who are producing golden, silver or bronze eggs. Hope they are not 富二代 net spenders.
DeleteYes. Most scarry thing after retirement is not, no money but no health.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle (God father) who is such a nice n positive person, after retiring at 70 died of cancer one year later. It was one of the saddest moments for us then.
Quote from the author:
ReplyDeleteI also used to be very particular about everything I ate, not because of a love for myself or a caring for my body. It was because of fear of what these foods would do to me. I was very afraid of cancer, and believed that everything caused cancer, from microwaves, barbecued foods, red meat, plastic containers, pollution, sunshine, etc. I now realize that it’s the emotions I feel about the food that has more effect on me than the food itself. I can choose to eat conventionally healthy food, and as long as I am doing it because I love my body and life, and want to live long and healthy, then that’s the effect the food will have on me. If I eat it out of fear, because I am afraid of cancer, I am just sending fear based energy through my body, regardless of whether the food is healthy or not.
Even if I eat a piece of chocolate or dessert, I eat it because I want to enjoy the sensation of eating it, and enjoy every bite.
