I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

High Dividend Yield Stocks? (9)

Read? High Dividend Yield Stocks? - Part 8

Do you like high dividend yield?

Do you like high dividend yield blue chip more?

Do you believe high dividend yield multi-bagger blue chip is possible?

I am telling you it is not a dream but it is possible and you have to remember it and don't forget to look out for such blue chips at the next Big Bad Bear market.

Here is the truth:

I bought Kep Corp on 18 Sep 2001 after Sep 11 WTC attack and have been holding it since 2001.  It has been oldest and also top holding and top performer so far.

Total Shareholder Return (TSR) is as follows:

Holding one such counter is so rewarding as it has survived Sep11, SARS and Sub-prime crisis - three bear markets!

How about holding another one or more such counters? Super shiok! right?

So don't forget to look out for such blue chips at the next Big Bad Bear market. It is possible!

  1. Hi CW8888,
It is because of anything is possible in the business world(stock market), that keeps me thinking when oil will be replaced by a new form of energy. Now the Arabs can still laugh all the way to the banks.
Perhaps, when it happens, we are no more in this world. But who knows, we already have a complete electric car power by batteries?
What about solar energy? nuclear energy? wind energy? thermal energy? tidal wave energy? unknown yet to discover energy? anything is possible? (To me anything is possible, because I believe we are made in the image of God.)
What's is your take on this anything is possible to replace oil as energy?
    Can you share?
Will it happen in our time?

  2. Storing Lightning strikes?

One lightning strike contains 215 kWh (kilo-Watt hours) of energy, equivalent to 774 MJ (megajoules).

This amount of energy could light a 100-Watt light bulb for 3 months, or power the average American home for a week.

I heard the rumors that Kep Corp is quietly researching into Giant Lightning Storage Cells. LOL

  4. 1 dollar?

that is great returns Createwealth and what i have been wanting to own. what other stocks is like that?

Hindsight is always easier but we don't find many that is this way.

I used to think Singtel is this way as well but telco industry is getting very competitive so i am not expecting this to happen.

We could be looking at the SIA Eng and the bousteads.

  6. Hi CW,
Anything is possible, but lighting never strike the same place twice. The rumour must be only rumor I think?

  7. Hi Bro CW,

You are the man. I am adopting a similar approach. Hold cash and buy big blues during a recession.

Be fearful when others are greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful.

    Cheers!

  8. Boustead is another blue chip that is giving good dividend.

It has a dividend yield of 5%. Company is in conglomerate business. Stable revenue and earning growth.

Most important it is undervalued according to Brend Valuation Model.

  9. Market Strat,

i would not say that Boustead is a blue chip.. it is still quite small and the business it is engaged in is very competitive with no boom cycles...

    CW8888,

you were very lucky IMO to get this guy... it has grown so much over the years and what ever business segments that were profitable, it privatized and absorbed it... selling SPC to the Chinese was the way to go...
