I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

  1. Hi Temperament,

    Short answer is $305,400/-

    Long answer:
From Singstat, 1987 CPI is 58.69 while 2017 CPI is 99.5, giving an inflation CAGR of 1.72% per annum over 31 years. (Must be the cheap stuff from China & globalization)

2018 full CPI not known yet, but from the figures as of Oct 2018, so far is much lower than the average. CPI went from 99.5 to 99.9 ..... 0.4% increase.

    S'pore CPI 1987-2017

Notice the steep rise from 2008-2013 ... people were not happy with govt then! :)

If you can super-impose the median wage increase onto the CPI graph, you can easily predict the incumbent's performance during elections Hohoho!
