I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

Buy And Hold Is Not Dead Over Market Cycles

Read? Jog The Singapore's Park Connectors - Round 6

When Uncle8888 reached Pasir Ris beach at Round 6 PCN Jog; he saw that the kelongs (fish farms) are still there despite those past few incidences of red tide that wiped off their fish stocks. They managed to restart their fish farm all over again! They didn't gave up!

How different from Buy and Hold over market cycles?

Buy & hold is not dead like these fish farms. Don't give up!

The next season; they will be producing fish load that worth their effort again!

  1. CW,

These fish farms, if they had a choice, would have preferred early warnings of red tide so they can quickly relocate their fish holdings or harvest their bounty rather than let them die and start over ;)
