- Engagement - Level 2
- Meaning - Level 3
In addition to a pleasant and engaged retirement, some people imagine having a meaningful retirement. Of course, they still want to be secure and comfortable and to enjoy themselves. And they want to be actively involved in life, using their strengths in a personally rewarding way. But they also want a sense of meaning and purpose. This usually comes from feeling that you are part of something larger than yourself - something that makes you proud of the personal contribution you're making. Which brings us to the third level of retirement happiness.
If pleasure is most closely related to your interests, and engagement is most closely related to your strengths, then meaning is most closely related to your values.
Createwealth8888 is still thinking hard about it ... part of something larger than myself - something that makes me proud of the personal contribution I am making. Even now I also not sure am I part of something larger than myself?
