I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

May be for stock investing/trading, the bigger problem is that some people tend to think they didn't make mistakes. The market is the one that makes mistakes. The collective wisdom of the market is wrong but they are right.

But I believe that the collective wisdom of the market may be wrong in days (e.g. sell first, analyse or thinking deeply later); but it seldom remains wrong in weeks or months. Get it?

  1. I would rather think the Market is not wrong but has not discover the discrepancy in pricing yet - especially for new companies, etc

  2. i guess the common problem is our "emotion". When ppl monitor the market everyday, they get affected by the ups and downs, thus causing them to make the wrong decision. I have learned from that mistake.
Sometimes i heard alot of ppl say, i should have sold it when xxx counter reach $x, now going down.... Or I should have bought xxx counter, see the price went up so much....etc...
Seriously, if we are able to time the market so well, we wouldn't here talking to all of u... haha

  3. Go for more income stocks as they tend to be less volatile most of the time in the market if emotions control is an issue and causing too much emotional stress.
