I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

 Uncle8888 has not heard someone said to him something like this

Uncle, I got $XX,XXX or $XXX,XXX. How to construct an investment portfolio with X% yield?

 So far, never!

    Anyhow use your insect metaphors :(

    Grasshoppers are people who are more interested in play than work lah!

    Don't plan, don't budget, no goals, no KPIs.

    Live in the moment and when winter comes, we die. Game over.


    Those freeloaders you are talking about are dung beetles lah!

    Go google or watch a youtube video on dung beetles you'll understand.

      Even at an out-site event; there were moments of three different people ask these questions. One of them was travelling in the same coach as me. I was sitting at second last row of the coach. The last row of six seats were empty. I told him that if you want to learn more; you come and sit at the back. I will tell you more. So he rather be "dung beetle"?
