I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

Ring fence your assets???

To the gardeners, these are pest and has to be killed.

But, for some kind souls,  they will save these gentle and weak creatures from people accidentally crushing on them.

Tired of murdering these creatures and get your hand too bloody?

Ring fence your assets!!!

No more killing.

Let your gardener neighbours be the murderers???

Do the same to your portfolio and ring fence your assets against the next Fat Bear?

  1. Hi cw8888,

would like to clarify what you stated "RING FENCE your assets against the next Fat Bear."

Do you mean buying the stocks at great margin of safety so one could still be able to earn less (and not lose money) when the Black swan event occur?

    1. You can see that my multi-baggers were bought during market crashes and have grown into Money Tree.

Unfortunately I didn't learn enough to have market wisdom. I have mistaken the last GFC as market pullback and correction; hence, I have lost back to the Market all the past years trading gains and more.

      Very painful lessons learnt.

      :-(

The moral of the story: Keep enough cash rotting in the Bank to feed the next Fat Bear if we are not depending on passive income to pay for our living expenses.
