Consumers in S’pore most worried about inflation: Poll
INFLATION is a major cause of anxiety among consumers in Singapore, according to a survey.
It found that 65 per cent of those polled listed rising costs as
their chief concern, well ahead of levels in other regional countries.
Inflation was cited as a chief worry by 55 per cent in Thailand, 51
per cent in China and only 39 per cent in Indonesia, said research firm
GfK.
Singapore consumers were particularly worried about the price of
health care, with "significant levels of concern" among 42 per cent of
those polled.
