SINGAPORE investors who put their Central Provident Fund (CPF)
monies into the roughly 300 CPF-approved investment funds last year
would have much to cheer about.
The average fund under the CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS) earned a 10.35 per cent return in 2012, as promises of liquidity from central banks restored global confidence in financial markets.
This included a 2.86 per cent gain in the last three months of the year, said financial information firm Lipper which tracks the performance of the funds.
The stellar returns handily beat the 2.5 per cent interest rate offered on the CPF Ordinary Account and the 4 per cent rate of the CPF Special,
