I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

DBS XD Gap Up By 62 cts! Dividend $0.36

 How to predict Mr Market's action?

Closed the day before XD $34.18; Uncle8888 thought he will be sucking bitter Panadol again on XD. It will gap down and falls farther!

    Humbling, isn't it?

    It's like my "I thought I knew Queenstown" post ;)

    In normal markets, price "should" gap down after XD!!!

    You should thank last night's US CPI report ;)


    Just like nano retail investors in REITs, after thrash talking physical properties, now probably a bit sheepish and jealous how landlords of Singapore physical properties are enjoying crazy rental increases and juicy unrealised capital gains!?

    Talk about good inflation hedge! Better than cryptos!

    Then again, the same cannot be said of US property owners... Winter is coming...

    The question to ask - who is the "broken clock" in a rising rate environment?

    Singapore or US property markets?

  2. Whole 4 rm HDB at my block was rented out at $3K as elderly mother finally moved out to stay with her son. Good timing!
