I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

  1. Uncle8888,

In the spirit of refresh, here's an interview couple days ago with Stanley Druckenmiller.

Lots of good stuff about how he invests & what he thinks makes a good investor. Also talks a fair bit about cryptos & tech.

Some of the stuff he says are similar to Jim Rogers; no surprise as both worked under George Soros.

    Enjoy!

PS: shld be a treat for Smol :)

    1. Spur,

      Thanks!

Stanley Druckenmiller is one of my favourites from Market Wizards.

I use stop-loss orders as I am my own worst enemy. I sleep better knowing there's a limit to my losses.

Options in a sense is a great risk management vehicle. The moment you buy you knew the max you could lose.

Provided you don't get suckered into writing naked options for "passive" income...

This article can be a good read for youths not familiar with trading techniques like selling into a bull market to risk only your profits.

Capital safely back into our pockets waiting for the next wash, rinse, repeat trade 🤗
