I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

Boasting your great saving skills through many personal sacrifices!

Just For Laugh ....

Uncle8888 has been reading some interesting comments on boasting great saving skills through many personal sacrifices to build up wealth.

We respect those people who make many personal sacrifices for their loved ones. We understand that human's love can go beyond boundary and limits.

But, to make so many personal sacrifice just to accumulate tons of money is no love story.

We always like to believe that there is tomorrow; but when tomorrow never come; someone else will be happily spending our money.

Lots of personal sacrifices have been made for these money. But, are these money left behind for whom you deeply love?

You forget Warren Buffet also like to save and make money for the sake of it! that is why he has not bought any new big house.

  2. Read? Warren Buffet's home

    Warren Buffett's Home

Warren Buffett the Worlds 3rd richest man with $ 47 billion dollars still lives in the same house in the same Happy Hollow neighborhood where he bought the home in 1958 for $31,500. It has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and is 6234 square feet , the house was built in 1921. In 2005 it had a taxable value of $ 690,000.

Does anyone seriously think that Warren Buffet is living in pigeon's hole?

    1. Excellent reply CW!

Even if we are billionaires, how much space does one need? How many more meals can one eat?

Hoarding money for the sake of money is no different than some other compulsive behaviours.

      Balance.
