I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

Someone said: "I dun think such stocks exist in our SGX. 10% dividend yield for 10 years? Absolutely no, as least not in SGX."

His saying has motivated Uncle8888 to post this series as matter of fact.

It is possible. Even in SGX!

Our own local backyard.

  3. you have proven Benjamin Graham wrong when he said, ---> “Much as the investor would like to be able to buy at just the right time and to sell out when prices are about to fall, experience shows that he is not likely to be brilliantly successful in such efforts…”

ditto for John Bogle (founder of Vanguard) when he said, ---> “After nearly 50 years in this business, I do not know of anybody who has done it successfully and consistently. I don’t even know anybody who knows anybody who has done it successfully and consistently.”

ditto for Peter Lynch when he said, ---> “I can’t recall ever once having seen the name of a market timer on Forbes‘ annual list of the richest people in the world. If it were truly possible to predict corrections, you’d think somebody would have made billions by doing it.”

    Ha! Ha!
The above is only possible if you believe. And of course meanwhile you must be able to live and survive if necessary only on bread and water; especially at today bank's "robbing" interest rate.

    6. Either way you are right,. If you believe you can you can. If you believe you can't, you can't. But if you believe you can't you are finished even before you take the first step. So never, never believe you can't if you want to do something. Another words you must believe in yourself first or else nobody most probably going to believe you. "Never say die before you die."
