I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

  1. Good analogy at Guru's blog ;) Bi-focal indeed!

    Why be black and white?

Keep a X% portion as long term stake to ride the long term trend, and another Y% as "cyclical" stake to ride the cyclical trends.

Those with bi-focal plus astigmatism can even add another Z% stake for the short-term "contra" trades.

    I love drinking IPOH's 3-in-1 white coffe!

  2. We can't continue to insist to see with our eyes in one way - lens or no lens. One day, surely, one day will come that we will realize that we will need to see in two ways if we still want to see our goals clearly.

So are you reaching mid 40s in your investing life? Need one or more lens? :-)

    1. And we also can borrow other people's eyes.
Don't forget, we actually have the third eye - “心 眼”.
Only it's not easy to use.
And by blogging, we are exchanging what we see with our eyes.
The only thing we have to be open-minded even if we don't see eye to eye, at times.
In Turkey, they believe in we should be always be careful of the "Evil EYES".
And there is a pair of perpetual eyes watching over us all the time without fail.

    1. Hi Guru,
Yes by blogging with an open mind(that should be the aim of all bloggers), we will see a lot of things in new perspectives. The vision of a 20-30-year-old investor is surely different from a 50-60-year-old investor. But if you care to share your newly found perspectives, we may benefit too.

  4. My thoughts : 3 accounts for a investor To ride the market
    1. Passive income
    2. Right and hold
    3. Trading with your familiar stock (blue chips)

But I m stuck with 1 as I am still in process of storing my bullets , no bullets now..can't do much :p
