Countries are accepting that there's a limit to antivirus mitigations, and no economy can continue giving free money (or future money) to sustain 40%-60% jobless people.
Even S'pore is beginning to accelerate re-opening as long as community infections remain in the single digits. And I have a sneaking feeling that even if numbers go up to 25 a day, we won't see a general lockdown like the past 2 months. (Btw, most of S'pore's electronics, pharmaceutical, & manufacturing industries are operating at full or near-full levels during this circuit breaker.)
Sad to say, I've been buying back into US tech etfs in May. Dammit, the strong push thru the 200DMA is saying something & I have to admit that the market is smarter than me. For e.g. QQQ has practically erased all of the Covid losses & back to less than 1% of all time highs.
