I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

Long or Wrong Term Investing Is Like Banging Your Head on Hindsight???

  1. CW,

That's the downside of too "perfect" record keeping ;)

Then again, if you had held on, you would still bang head today for not selling DBS at above $30 during April 2018...

And if DBS dips below $21 this year, you would feel super proud of yourself!

    LOL!

Let it go, let it go!

The moral of the story is not buy-and-hold; the lesson is to sharpen our saw so we can improve our entries and enhance our exits ;)

    Passive my foot!

    1. Fully agreed! Long term investing is also same as short term trading required master skills unless one is happy to invest to breakeven by taking Panadols.
