Long-Term Investing Is More Like Walking Round After Round At Your Favorite Park Rather Than Running A Marathon!

Market is nothing more than cycles of Bulls and Bears going round and round. After completing each round; what did you see (wait/buy/hold/sell/collect dividends) along the walking path?

Are we feeling happier, sadder, regret, sorry, immune or chopped fingers and never again walking these silly endless loops.

  1. CW,

    I like your analogy!

It's better than the long-term Marathon that's being sold by financial advisors to their bei kambings...

"Look! Unrealised losses are not real. Just hold. Long term stocks always go up one!"

How else to calm the fears of their sales funnel flock while continuing to milk and fleece them forever and ever?

Like the pic in your masthead - if we don't pick our ripen fruits during harvest season, they will just rot away!

People forget long-term is the true enemy.

    For long-term we all die...

What's the point if I don't get to do the wine, song, and women before I go?

  3. Agree to certain extent.
How about twisting the word marathon?

Can a marathon be walking round & round the park until one collapses. Up the Lorry if no dementia or sickness then must be due to old age failure of body's organ.

Still find it fun, walking the marathon leh?
