Each of the S&P 500, Dow and Nasdaq ended the regular session at record closing highs

Overnight stateside, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 257.86 points to a new closing high of 31,188.38. The S&P 500 also gained 1.4% to a record close of 3,851.85. The Nasdaq Composite soared almost 2% to finish its trading day at 13,457.25, also touching a fresh record. The moves came as Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States.

    Doesn't feel like 2000...

    Or maybe its because our STI has not breached new highs?

    Only cryptos felt like its 2000 all over again to me ;)

  2. Looking at the Nasdaq, it's similar to 2 previous times:

    1) 1991 -- it's a very small blip now, but tech stocks recovered +60% in a year from the 1990 recession.

    2) Early-1999.

    One has almost a decade left (and another +750% of gains) ... the other has only 12 months left.

    So which will it be? Flip a coin! Kekeke!!!

    Me? I think the coin will land on its edge ... will be somewhere between 1991 & 1999! 😛
