Penghu, Cimei and Wang An

Read? Kenting Beach - Normal Sighting At Beach And Other Sightings

We stayed at Bowa Hotel which is walking distance to Magong bus terminal (7 mins) and Ferry terminal (14 mins)

To get around Penghu's main island:

1. Prefer mode is to rent a scooter and most visitors to Penghu are on this mode and also recommended by hotel staff.

2. Hire a taxi by hourly rate at NT500 per hour. There is no taxi by meter so minimum is NT500 per trip.

3. Public bus. Visitors must study bus schedule and plan accordingly as bus frequency can be hourly, two or four hours interval.

We took B &W option using Easy card i.e. tap and go. Topping up of Easy card is easily available at any convenience outlets e.g. 7/11, Family Mart etc. Tap and go!

Study the bus schedule and bus route at Magong bus terminal and plan accordingly.

There is LCD display showing all the bus schedule at the bus terminal.

Bus route and bus stations are displayed at the glass plane notice board at the other side of the bus terminal

We took 10:10 AM, one hour flight from Taipei Songshan airport to Magong airport and hotel provided transport pick up from airport to hotel and then hotel to airport based on your flight departure i.e. about 1 hour before departure time. There is no traffic jam! The taxi driver who drove for more 20 years told us that he has never encountered any traffic jam.

Magong City Walking Trail

We spent the rest of the day doing Magong City walking trail and for Auntie8888 to visit these two stops and spent more time reading every wording.

Not sure how many young ones have heard of this song which has brought tons of tourists to Penghu and made it famous as tourist spot in Taiwan.

外婆的澎湖湾 Wai Po De Peng Hu Wan is a Mandarin Oldie and was popularized by Phang An Pang 潘安邦.  The whole song is about Maternal Grandma's favorite beach where she has her leisure with her grandchild.
