Is 2012 Bear 2.0 coming??? (2)

Read? Is 2012 Bear 2.0 coming???

"The general who wins a battle makes many calculations in his temple before the battle is fought. The general who loses a battle makes but few calculations beforehand. Thus do many calculations lead to victory, and few calculations to defeat; how much more no calculation at all! It is by attention to this point that I can foresee who is likely to win or lose."  - Sun Tze

The general doesn't fight the last war!!!

In the stock market, it is either win or lose.

What if Uncle8888 is wrong and the Bull came?

What's wrong in putting the 4th Smiling Green Face up there?

Anyone think it is wrong????

What if Uncle8888 is right and the Bear came?

  1. Fair enough, Uncle CW8888, if bear come, uncle happy, if Bull come also, Uncle happy.

We will see in 6 months, whether the period June to December 2012 will see Bear or Bull.

My prediction for what it is worth, would be a melt up.

I see a bear as unlikely, precisely because everyone is expecting one.

    1. Bear or Bull is O. K. Veteran investors normally prepare for both. Have you? To me now we have a "stagnant bull" that is going no where.

  2. Hi Temperament,

I am not a veteran investor, am quite a novice, as I have been investing only for 10 years or so, i guess i will reach experienced status in another ten years and veteran status in another twenty years.

I have around 20% in cash right now, waiting for deployment, that is after a bit of deployment over the last fortnight or so, it was a bit higher at around 35% in April.

    Cheers

    1. It's really not what you said. Actually to put it simply, you must always have some money reserved for investing in a fire-sale market. As to how many % of your "investing fund" you like to reserve, it really up to you. No one is the same. Only patience is needed for everyone. IMHO. 2 cents worth.

  3. Now this is interesting!

2 opposite viewpoints. But you know what? Both can be right :)

STI could go down to 2500 next month then reflate back to 3200 in 6 months time. Or the opposite where STI zooming to 3200 next month and correcting back down to 2500 in 6 months time.

Both V and CW8888 would smile and say I told you so!
