I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

50% Pay Cut!

Read? Fundamental Analysis : As Outsiders How Far Into The Future Can We Analyze Company Business?

F&B in deep shit and Uncle8888's 8 HWW (8 Hours Work Week)'s resturant outlets are mostly in these areas. Now cut to 2 HWW for restaurant outlets in heartland malls where there are still take away food orders.

Heard someone calling loud : "Hey Uncle" in Old Airport Rd hawker centre.

Ooo.. still can recognize the familiar face behind the mask. He is one of the restaurant chefs in Orchard area; the dine-in only buffet restaurant still closed and he is supplementing his pay cut by temporarily helping out at one of hawker stalls. He sighed as cooking at hawker stall is a tougher job.

  1. Day by day, govt knows that the cure cannot be worse than the disease. They also know that the virus is much much less lethal to younger people without history of cardiovascular disease (which includes diabetes) or pulmonary disease. Hence sooner rather than later, they'll bend or relax the rules to allow the economy to recover.

The messaging will be changed to resemble that in S Korea, Taiwan & Japan: younger people & workers --- wear mask & practise personal hygiene, but go out & work & spend! As for older folks --- please remain indoors! Oops! LOL!

    2. Dining-in, personal health and wellness, as well as home-based services such as private tuition, enrichment or piano lessons can resume, except for singing or voice training classes.

At restaurants and hawker centres, each table will be limited to five people.

Retail shops, parks, sports and other public facilities including stadiums, swimming pools, golf courses, playgrounds, bowling centres and fitness studios will also be able to reopen. This applies to similar facilities in private settings such as condominiums and clubs.

  2. 1. NO BUFFETS, SELF-SERVICE F&B AMENITIES

Those who love buffets have to wait a little longer to feast on an all-you-can-eat spread. All self-service buffet lines must remain suspended during Phase 2, said the advisory.

Sorry for those service staff and chefs in buffet restaurant. They are still affected.
