SINGAPORE : Share prices in Singapore closed weaker on Monday as investors stayed away amid the growing tensions on the Korean peninsula.
South Korean forces went ahead with live firing drills from a disputed island despite threats of attack by Pyongyang.
Traders said early losses were however pared after the noon break as some buying support emerged.
The ST index fell 20.05 points to 3,132.96 on a volume of 1,078 million shares.
There were 111 advances against 339 losers by the end of the session
